Today I was asked to come into the Kiewit Alaska head office to cover for someone. I agreed because I honestly miss the people I work with. Plus working in general, surprising, huh? Well it’s been great since I’ve been here. Everyone is being super nice, even saying things like they wish I could stay. I can’t even begin to say how refreshing that is.

But besides that, nothing really has been happening. I’ve been doing things, but nothing really exciting. Yesterday I went baking-happy. I spent the entire day baking. I made 2 raspberry lemon almond breads. An apple streusel and a batch of lemon squares. They all turned out awesome, I think I could work on the lemon square recipe though.

Today was probably one of my more lazier days. Seriously just camped out on the couch all day consuming junk, smoking ganja, and playing Call of Duty. I’ve been eating tortilla chips like they’re going to stop producing them worldwide. But seriously though. Tortilla chips can almost go with everything. I’m getting hungry.

So I watched Woody Harrelson in Defendor. I really like Woody Harrelson and I think I’d like to consider myself a huge fan of his. But I’m not really into movies all that much. But I’m trying to get more into the ones with awesome people in them. I really enjoyed Defendor. Movies like this always tug at my heart strings, so at the end of the movie I’m left balling like a moron over a fictional story. But who cares! It was really great! Woody is excellent at making you believe his roll in this movie. But on a displeasing note… I’m really not a fan of Sandra Oh. The psychiatrist in the movie. I know she’s on Grey’s Anatomy or some shit but I’ve never liked her acting. Her face throws me off every time she tries to be “SAD” like; “:[ O I AM SO SAD FOR U! SEE IT IN MY FACE?” No. We don’t. Because you’re faking it, just like everyone else is. The only problem is you’re terrible at it.
Overall, Defendor was great. If you haven’t seen it, go see it.

Snow. Snow Snow snow. Since about a couple of days ago it’s been snowing out the ass. It never really bothers me. I know it’s February. I know it’s still winter. But what I don’t like is when it snows like mad crazy for weeks straight, then out of nowhere it’s like 90 degrees out. Okay that’s an exaggeration, that doesn’t happen. But yeah, no seriously, stating today it’s been surprisingly warm out. Not even freezing anymore! I keep getting scared every time a new icicle falls outside and shatters. Another weird thing is the last few months our heat has been blasting nonstop. Now it’s turned off for the first time in awhile and I get really surprised how quiet it is in this place. I find myself sneaking around my own house like someone is listening in on me.

Fuggg. I’ve been doing laundry since I woke up. And I get headaches from all the really strong laundry soap and fabric softener.
Man. I wish it was summer already. Everything is melting and it’s getting me so excited! I hate this time of year, when it melts, then snows, melts, turns into ice, stays frozen, then melts. I want it to be summer! I want warmth and greenery. Please. Not to mention I’ve been wanting to buy more clothes, but I don’t really like the winter selections. I’m really getting into lacey style clothing and accessories. They’re so soft and charming.
This is a little much, but I still enjoy the photo.
